A Word from Carol Getting Pre-Approved For A Loan Lenders pre-approve buyers for loans before they begin house hunting. Give the loan officer information about your assets, income, and debts, so he can tell you what price range to consider. He will do a credit check and work with the lender to address any problems. Pre-approval can make your offer more attractive to the seller when you find the home you want. Conditional loan approval is even better. See if your loan officer can get a commitment from a lender while you are searching for homes, before you make offers

Keep Yard Pests in Check Keeping a green and healthy lawn means fostering a hospitable environment, but not everything that moves in will be equally welcome. We want grass and the organisms (like earthworms) that help maintain it, but the conditions for growing a strong lawn also happen to be conditions favorable to less helpful creatures. Too welcoming an attitude may even be counterproductive, as some bugs will, if left to their own devices, destroy the very plants you were after in the first place. The trick, then, is making your lawn inviting for the life you want to settle in, while making it inhospitable to the pests. Here are five common yard pests along with tips for keeping them at bay. |
Such approval may be subject to appraisal of the home, title search, and other issues that will arise during escrow. Occasionally multiple offers come in on a house, and you may find yourself competing with other buyers. In this case, your offer is more appealing if you include a pre-approval letter. If you have conditional loan approval – in writing from a lender – this is even better. The pre-approval or approval processes, if completed ahead of time, will also save you time and hassle by eliminating from consideration any homes for which you would not qualify.
Lawrence Yun , NAR chief economist, said there is an uneven uptrend. "The supply limitation appears to be the main factor holding back contract signings in the past month. Still, contract activity has risen for 20 straight months on a year-over-year basis," he said. "Buyer interest remains solid, as evidenced by a separate Realtor® survey which shows that buyer foot traffic is easily outpacing seller traffic." Yun said shortages of available inventory are limiting sales in some areas. "Supplies of homes costing less than $100,000 are tight in much of the country, especially in the West, so first-time buyers have fewer Read More
What To Look For In A Kitten When purchasing a kitten as a pet there are a few items you MUST look for. If you question any of the following items, or the health of the kitten be very cautious in finalizing the deal. 1. Inspect the kitten’s mother. 2. Make sure she is free of physical and mental defects that might have been passed to the offspring. Make sure the kitten is at LEAST eight weeks old. Those first eight weeks with it’s mother and siblings are extremely important to development. 3.Is the kitten relaxed and gentle? Stressed out and hissing kittens grow up to be stressed out (More)
ANTS We tend to see ants as pests mostly when they’re riled enough to bite, but ants can also cause damage to your lawn. Their nests can disturb the roots of grass, and their workers can undermine your attempts to over seed by making off with the seeds themselves. If you’re having trouble maintaining the health of your grass and have noticed a number of large beds in your yard, ants may be part of the problem. To curb ant populations, use an insecticide rated for ants. To expose more of the mound to the treatment, mow the lawn before application. (More) |

Sudoku The New Addiction! Just in case you've never played before. The object of the game is to fit the numbers 1-9 in the correct orders. You need to fill a number from 1 to 9 in every blank cell. A number must appear only once in each row, column and 3x3 block. Sounds easy enough. Don't give up. Once you get the hang of it, its very fun and challenges your brain. (If you don't see the game on the left please try refreshing your screen. You can use F5 or your refresh button.) |
