Existing Homes Sales Continue to Climb in November Existing-home sales rose again in November and remain above a year ago, according to the National Association of Realtors®. Also released today were periodic benchmark revisions with downward adjustments to sales and inventory data since 2007, led by a decline in for-sale-by-owners. Although rebenchmarking resulted in lower adjustments to several years of home sales data, the month-to-month characterization of market conditions did not change. There are no changes to home prices or month’s supply.
Heightened Expectations Don't count on your cat's internal righting system to prevent injuries from a fall. Although cats may be agile and acrobatic enough to land feet first, their legs and paws are not equipped to absorb the force of a high-impact landing. Reduce your cat's risk of injury with well-fitted window screens. Reinforce balcony railings with protective netting or sturdy mesh.

The latest monthly data shows total existing-home sales, which are completed transactions that include single-family, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops, increased 4.0 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.42 million in November from 4.25 million in October, and are 12.2 percent above the 3.94 million-unit pace in November 2010. A Well Heeled Dog
For a well-mannered walking partner, teach your dog to "heel."
With your dog leashed and at your left hip, call your dog's name, followed by the command "heel." Walk briskly, keeping the leash short to discourage dawdling. To keep your dog in position, tug the leash gently, keep treats in your left hand, and use hip nudges to direct your dog into left turns. Use "sit" breaks to praise and reward your dog's efforts.

Soil doesn’t get compacted in raised beds because it’s fresh and more easily worked. * Raised beds create areas of fertile, well-drained soil in locales with poor soil and inadequate drainage. Raised bed depth When determining the depth of your raised bed, consider your soil’s current condition. If it’s fairly workable, you can get away with raised beds up to 8 inches high. However, if the soil is completely unworkable—the kind of soil that can hardly be dented by a spade—make the raised bed 1 to 3 feet high. (More) |

Sudoku The New Addiction! Just in case you've never played before. The object of the game is to fit the numbers 1-9 in the correct orders. You need to fill a number from 1 to 9 in every blank cell. A number must appear only once in each row, column and 3x3 block. Sounds easy enough. Don't give up. Once you get the hang of it, its very fun and challenges your brain. (If you don't see the game on the left please try refreshing your screen. You can use F5 or your refresh button.) |
