Aug 20 Pickin' in the Park at Silver Springs State Park - Come enjoy local and visiting musicians perform acoustic music in a scenic area near the springs. Instruments usually include a banjo, guitar, fiddle, upright bass, and accordion. They may vary from month to month. Feel free to bring your own instrument and join in or just listen and enjoy. Hand claps and foot taps welcome!

Sep 2 35th Annual Ocala Shrine Rodeo - Livestock Pavilion 7:30-10:00 p.m. Get ready for two jam-packed performances filled with exciting competition in saddle and bareback bronc riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and bull riding. Sanctioned By Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Gates open at 5:30pm and rodeo actions begins at 7:30pm. Join us Saturday evening at 6pm for our very special “Shrine Patients Rodeo” featuring local children being treated by the Shriner Hospitals. Proceeds benefit Shrine Hospitals for Children.

Ocala Farmers' Market - 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Ocala Farm Market is held every Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm in historic downtown Ocala, located on the corner of Silver Springs Blvd and 1st Avenue. Ocala Civic Theatre - 4337 E. Silver Springs Blvd. 236-2851 Ocala Civic Theatre presents professional-quality, live productions at an affordable price. Ocala Civic Theatre produces more than twelve fully-staged productions each season, in addition to hosting touring companies. The Theatre offers a year-round education program that reaches over 1000 students each year. Both skills classes and performance classes are offered to students ages 4-18. This volunteer-based organization is one of the largest community theatres in the state and serves more than 50,000 Marion, Citrus and Lake County residents each season.
